CHARACTER SHEETS

PLAYER: WilyQuixote (Jason Roche)

With a past on the other side of the law as a mafia enforcer, after his mobster father and kid brother were taken out in a hit on him Rook embarked on a vendetta that very nearly touched off a war between mafia families in NYC.
After his revenge was complete, Rook vowed to turn over a new leaf and use his powers to protect the innocent, as he should have protected his kid brother. With a working man personality and generally contemptuous of 'capes', he would rather protect the common people than go after supervillains.
Motivated by a desire to protect the innocent from direct harm, he's more than happy to just chase a villain off and isn't above live and let live type deals. However, Rook has a dangerous vengeful streak, and can become murderously Enraged in some situations. He only rarely wears a costume, doesn't wear a mask, and works in a Home Depot to pay the bills. He's usually coming to or from work or church when he responds to help fight crime, so he shows up in working stiff street clothes.
"I had to punch out at work to shut you'se down, so's I'm gonna make you'se regret it, jerk."
The idea behind Rook is that he is a very powerful telekinetic, but the manifestation of his powers is very specific -- he's essentially got one big "Power" (or trick as he calls it), it just happens to be a very flexible one.
In effect he is basically an extremely short ranged telekinetic, but he is able to pull off tricks that are not doable by characters built using the actual TK Power construct.
Rook has become the defacto "A" slot badass of the Millennial Men -- the go to guy if you need a beater. Generally regarded as the most combat-effective hero on the team, many of the less martial characters rely on Rook to "soak" the attention of hard-hitting bad guys. Unfortunately, Rook is almost completely useless outside of a fight, and basically dead weight in all other circumstances. He knows this and tries to cover the slack and is very active and effectively roleplayed, but he's just not really good at anything else.
