attack hinder Transduction Shroud A Attack a target with Darkness + Electricity + Ranged, dealing electricity damage. Hinder the same target with your Max die unless they are not affected by darkness. If the target rolls doubles on their next turn, they take electricity damage equal to the penalty.
hinder d12 Light Drain A Once per scene, Hinder your location with Darkness. That Blackout penalty is persistent and applies to every directly targeted action against targets at that location, unless the action taker is not affected by darkness. Increase your Electricity by one level while at the location and the penalty remains.
eye Energy Awareness Mastery I You can sense light, electricity, and energy at your location in a 360 degree field that extends through obstructions. You can 'see' within this field even if your normal vision is blocked, and are difficult to surprise. Invisibility of a level equal to or less than Awareness [Energy Fields] does not work on you within this field.

Photovoltaic is curvy woman wearing a dark costume covered in high tech scale-like solar panels, with larger panels on her shoulders and flanks. She no longer needs this supersuit to fuel her powers, but it does makes it easier and thus she continues to wear it. She is an inarguably beautiful woman, but her cruelty and vindictiveness shine through her sneering visage. She has a RBF that clearly communicates her unpleasant nature.
Biography
Once a brilliant but overlooked scientist, Dr. Aris Glen poured her life's work into renewable energy technology, specifically a highly advanced form of photovoltaic conversion. In her eyes, the potential to free humanity from its reliance on fossil fuels was a noble pursuit, but her funding was consistently cut, and her theories dismissed as impractical by her corporate superiors. Consumed by a desperate need for recognition and fueled by bitterness, Aris repurposed her prototype, a sleek suit covered in scale-like solar panels, into a weapon system. She became Photovoltaic, a villainess who would prove her genius by force, not just through academia. Her initial crimes were all meticulously planned acts of sabotage, shutting down power grids and wreaking havoc on her former employers' infrastructure, all while taunting her opponents with her cutting-edge technology.
Her criminal career came to an abrupt, and terrifying, turning point during a chaotic battle with a hero team on the roof of an experimental energy research facility. Attempting to overload her suit, a massive surge of concentrated energy from a failing particle accelerator struck Photovoltaic directly. Instead of being destroyed, her body became a living battery. The energy was integrated into her cellular structure, fundamentally rewriting her physiology. After a painful and disorienting recovery, she discovered her powers were now innate. She could draw in and manipulate energy without the suit, though the process was more strenuous and less precise. The suit, once the source of her power, became merely a conduit, a tool to refine and amplify her abilities. This accident solidified her cruelty; she no longer needed a reason for her crimes, only an opportunity to showcase her terrible new power.
Now, Photovoltaic is a far more dangerous and unpredictable threat. Her criminal enterprises have moved beyond simple corporate sabotage to acts of pure vindictive chaos. The suit, once a symbol of her discarded intellect, now serves as a reminder of her superior evolution. Her reputation has grown, and she is no longer dismissed as a high-tech thief but feared as a true power player in the criminal underworld. The sneering visage she presents to the world is not just a mask of cruelty but a reflection of a woman who believes she has surpassed humanity itself. She delights in proving her dominance, leaving her enemies in a state of terrified darkness, both physically and psychologically.
Capabilities and Motivations
Photovoltaic's powers revolve around the manipulation of light and electricity. She can absorb ambient light to enhance her abilities and unleash it as a weapon. She has mastery over darkness, capable of creating localized blackouts to disorient opponents and make her electrical attacks more effective. Photovoltaic also possesses an awareness of energy around her, making her difficult to surprise, and can weaponize the penalties she inflicts. She can also create area-wide blackouts, increasing her strength while hindering others.
Photovoltaic's motivations are rooted in a desire for power and control. Driven by a sense of being overlooked or underestimated, she seeks to assert dominance over others and the environment. This ambition stems from past slights and a fundamental belief in her own superiority.
