| The Green Knight presents as a power armored man, carrying a knightly kite shield and an oversized warhammer. A lot of glowing neon green energy is emitted from the shield, hammer, chest plate, and helm. |
| There was a very little known superhero named Green Knight who had a very short career in Millennial City in the early 2000's with the same overall appearance and gear, and thus this is assumed to be the same person. However, almost every appearance of the Green Knight since 2002 has been a series of robots. |

| Biography |
Once upon a time there was an exceptional person named Damien Styx, a mutant with peak human physiology and intelligence, inventiveness, and also extra-sensory perception, telepathy, and telekinesis. Born with a silver spoon as the son of Uriel Styx, a wealthy tech entrepreneur and co-founder of Robotyx Inc. Privately tutored, and precoscious, as a boy he develped a fascination for Arthurian legends and would amuse himself by building small robotic knights and programming them to play out elaborate scenarios, jousting, and questing. |
Eventually, Damien took an active hand in Robotyx Inc as he grew older and his father's health declined. However, the other founder of the company was Tomonaga Yochiro who developed terminal cancer and handed over his half of the company to his son, Yasuaki. While Uriel and Yochiro were lifelong friends and rock solid business partners, Damien and Yasuaki were oil and water. Both were briliant, both were talented second generation technologists, and if they had worked together their talents might have brought a new era of ever more advanced robotics. Instead, the two marked territory and waited for the day their still powerful fathers were out of the picture. |
Yochiro passed in the middle of the night, and Yasuaki struck with no warning. Uriel disappeared within the hour, leaving no trace and without having transferred control of the company to Damien yet. Yasuaki consolidated control of the company as the sole active major shareholder and pushed Damien out, but the idealistic younger Styx was not going to take that lying down and hatched a plan. Damien's secret telepathy was not world class but it was good enough to pick up surface thoughts, and in his final boardroom confrontation with Yasuaki he picked up enough clues to know that Yasuaki was definitely behind Uriel's disappearance -- and more importantly a hint that Uriel was still alive. A few weeks later, a new would-be superhero calling themselves the Green Knight riding upon a stallion-like hovercycle hit the streets of Millennium City. |
As the Green Knight, Uriel pursued his personal quest to unconver Yasuaki's perfidy, rescue his father, and regain control of Robotyx Inc to save his father's company from the increasingly dark business practices it was progressing into under the leadership of Yasuaki. He also got involved in a few other side quests, but was making progress and became a real thorn in Yasuaki's side. Unfortunately, while Yasuaki was part of Damien's hero origin so to was Damien was part of Yasuaki's supervillain origin story. Yasuaki, traumatized by his father's death, had become obsessed with the frailty of flesh and was determined to 'solve' that problem. Pursuing his own path, Yasuaki designed, built, and transferred his consciousness into a robotic body, becoming the supervillain Mr. Roboto. In a final confrontation, the Green Knight confronted the now robotic Yasuaki. Instead of involving potential allies, Damien pursued the matter solo as personal quest...and lost, badly. With no one the wiser. |
A few days later, a Green Knight upon a flying steed rode the skies above Millennial Men again. But it wasn't Uriel, it was a robot made by Mr. Roboto to covertly pursue missions in the supervillains service. Over the next 20+ years the Green Knight has ridden forth once or twice a year, each time pursuing some goal...sometimes successfully sometimes not. On a few occasions the Green Knight has been destroyed, but eventually the Green Knight rides again. The current instance is the 6th iteration, with each version being a bit better than the one before. |
| Capabilities and Motivations |
The original Green Knight supplemented his useful but mid-tier mutant abilities with a very respectable power suit, armed with a energy-empowered hammer and shield. Mr. Roboto replaced him with a robot that has the same appearance, weapons, and obvious abilities but is actually a robot. The robotic Green Knight has none of the human original's psychic powers, but since those capabilities were unknown their lack is not an obvious give away. |
The robotic Green Knight is strong and durable, is adept in melee with its hammer and shield, is protected by a green energy field, and is able to shoot blasts of green energy from its chest plate. It is also mounted on an advanced robotic flying steed / hovercycle with a horse motif, powerful afterburners, and some sort of weapon system -- currently a bombard of small grenades fired in clusters. |
