| Biography |
Bobby Cho's father, Lo Han Cho (later Larry), left Taiwan and eventually settled in Kansas, where he and his wife, Ellie Chong, had Bobby and his four sisters. Larry's older brother, Lo Wu, arrived in the US after falling out of favor with Chiang Kai-shek's successor. Unable to turn his brother away, Larry hosted Lo Wu, who then took it upon himself to train young Bobby in martial arts, deceit, ruthlessness, and ethnocentricity, aiming to mold him into a proper Cho. |
Upon Lo Wu's deathbed, Bobby promised to 'restore honor' to his family name by gaining real power. This led him to a life of crime, starting with the local drug trade. His father disowned him when he refused to abandon his criminal path. |
Bobby embarked on a mercenary career, working for crime bosses, a stint with SNAKE (before selling them out), and eventually becoming a free agent. He was later recruited by Enforcers Incorporated on a non-exclusive contract. Wu is known for his effectiveness, despite being generally disliked by other villains and mercenaries. He has successfully evaded capture, leaving behind several hospitalized law enforcement agents and heroes. |
| Capabilities and Motivations |
Wu practices a unique, mutable form of kung fu developed by his family over centuries, a blend of various techniques. He possesses superhuman reflexes and speed, which he attributes to 'chi mastery'. Beyond his martial arts, Wu has a passion for speed and owns a variety of high-speed racing motorcycles, which are often destroyed in battles but quickly replaced with his mercenary earnings. |
In combat, Wu prioritizes disabling opponents with blinding speed and nerve strikes. While he secretly desires to test his skills against other martial artists in single combat, his Uncle's teachings emphasized practicality. Therefore, he targets blasters, mentalists, and other non-physical threats first to prevent them from using their powers. |
