Unger is a humanoid cyborg with synthetic skin over a complicated lattice of machinery and circuitry. The fake flesh frequently gets damaged and destroyed in bits, requiring periodic replacement. His 'features' mimic what his face looked like as a normal human, but is solidly in the uncanny valley. In bad lighting, he can pass as human but otherwise is obviously abnormal and disturbing to look at.
Unger usually wears a suit and a trenchcoat with a fedora, but can wear anything that is useful to his mission.
Biography
Unger's past is a closely guarded secret, as he is not a true villain but a deep-cover NSA asset. In reality, Unger is a near-total conversion cyborg—essentially a human brain in an armored chassis—who has been operating undercover for almost ten years. His entire criminal persona is a fabrication designed to infiltrate the criminal underworld and build a reputation for competence and operational skill.
His long-term mission is to locate and neutralize 'The Fixxxer' a formidable former KGB spymaster who has since built a sprawling criminal empire. Unger's strategy has been to create a rival operation to draw his quarry out, establishing himself as a top-tier facilitator skilled in networking and acquisitions, which puts him in direct competition with his target's own enterprises.
Recently, Unger identified Enforcers Incorporated as the perfect vehicle to escalate his shadow war. He has joined the group and serves as its primary networking specialist, allowing 'The Machine' to be the public figurehead while Unger himself steers the firm into deeper waters. He is actively maneuvering Enforcers Inc. to horn in on The Fixxxer's mercenary trade, intending to force a direct confrontation. Unger's covert federal backing is the main reason the firm has avoided major scrutiny, though some in the NSA worry that Enforcers Inc. might ultimately become a greater evil than The Fixxxer himself.
Capabilities and Motivations
Unger is a near-total conversion cyborg whose mechanical body, which houses his brain in an armored torso, is a versatile, all-in-one arsenal. He possesses superhuman Strength and Agility, but his primary abilities stem from his advanced construction: he has Telescoping Limbs and can use Part Detachment to reconfigure himself for any situation. His forearms open up like a 'Swiss-army-knife' to reveal a vast array of built-in Gadgets, Heavy Pistols, grappling hook launchers, digital interface tendrils, and other specialized tools, making him a self-contained operative for combat, infiltration, and espionage.
To his criminal associates, Unger projects the image of a consummate professional, a master networker driven by a desire to build Enforcers Inc. into a powerful and profitable criminal enterprise. He appears motivated by competence and the ambition to expand the firm's reach, pushing them into ever more ambitious and lucrative ventures. This, however, is a complete facade. Unger's true motivation is his deep-cover mission as an NSA asset; he has no loyalty to Enforcers Inc. and is merely using the firm as a blunt instrument to wage a shadow war against his sole target, the rival spymaster 'The Fixxxer', intending to force a confrontation and destroy his network.
