Though he tried to get clear, the heavy machinery landed squarely on top of him. Onlookers assumed the worst, but after a tense silence, the bulldozer began to groan and lift. Doug emerged from the rubble, not with fatal injuries, but with a new, incredible sense of power. The traumatic stress of the event triggered a sudden mutation, unlocking his latent abilities of superhuman strength and toughness. |
