| Biography |

With a past on the other side of the law as a mafia enforcer, after his mobster father and kid brother were taken out in a hit on him Rook embarked on a vendetta that very nearly touched off a war between multiple crime families. |
|
After his revenge was complete, Rook vowed to turn over a new leaf and use his powers to protect the innocent, as he should have protected his kid brother. With a working man personality and generally contemptuous of 'capes', he doesn't do the whole cape and cowl thing, and works at Casa Deposito to pay the bills. Thus he is usually coming to or from work or church when he responds to help fight crime, so he shows up in working stiff street clothes. |

Motivated by a desire to protect the innocent from direct harm, he's more than happy to just chase a villain off and isn't above live and let live type deals. However, if a villain harms innocents, Rook will pummel them mercilessly and without regret into an extended hospital stay. |

He got his start as a hero doing street level neighborhood cleanups, stopping a number of break-ins, breaking up a prostituition ring, and making it unsafe for street criminals to ply their trade in his area. But it wasn't long before his neighborhood patrolling led him to become involved in stopping supercrime, eventual membership as one of the first members of the supergroup known as the Millennial Men, and even government approval as a sanctioned superhero. Over time, Rook become well known and respected, with a loyal fan base and the support of many. |
| Capabilities and Motivations |

Rook is an extremely powerful but short ranged telekinetic. He imagines his tk as an uncountable number of invisibile and superhumanly strong arms, which he can employ at a distance of about thirty feet. He also has a subconscious force field that requires an act of will for him to turn off. It protects him in an invisible sheath, deflecting and stopping harmful effects. Rook can propel himself and others at high speed by telekinetically pulling, throwing, and levitating. He can also effectively slide with great momentum in straight lines (the origin of his superhero moniker), including on sheer surfaces. |

In battle, Rook is a force to be reckoned with. He hurls himself and others around with incredible velocity, smashing, grabbing, squeezing, and so on...all while attacks mostly bounce off of him. He is so awesomely powerful to see in action, enemies tend to suffer morale issues, and allies are inspired. |
