Agent X can look like a male member of any human phenotype, although he does not have the ability to perfectly imitate the appearance of specific individuals. He is unsure what his own real appearance may be, or if he even has a true likeness. He usually takes on an average appearance matching whatever group is predominant in a particular area.
Biography
A mysterious escapee of some kind of accident or experiment, the only thing more mysterious than Agent X's past is his real identity. He doesn't know either; his memory is a mish-mashed jumble of headache inducing nonsense. This mental disarray also seems to make him immune to telepathy and attempts to detect his mind.
Agent X appeared seemingly at random when Hype, Gravitic, and War-Man suppressed a superpowered altercation at the city zoo arranged by Papa Zombie as a distraction. Without coordination or communication, Agent X intuited something was afoot, discovered and infiltrated Papa Zombie's operation, and got the inside scoop on what was going on. Then he started disrupting things from the inside, stealthily.
After the entire affair was put to rest, he turned down an invitation to join the team and disappeared for several years. However, Agent X popped back up a few times in unlikely circumstances, helping the team out when they were trying to root out what was revealed to be a VIPER plot, and on another occasion delivered a package of stolen data that revealed a traitor amongst the higher ups of a government agency the team was forced to liaison with.
Despite turning down offers to formally join, Agent X was a valued ally.
Capabilities and Motivations
Altered in some way to be an enhanced physical specimen, and conditioned to be an infiltrator and spy, Agent X is very skilled and has certain enhancements that are at or a bit above peak human capability. Notably, he recovers from physical harm about twice as fast as normal and can heal from injuries that would normally be fatal. He is very good at getting in and out of places he shouldn't be, hacking systems, stealing or planting things, and so on. He is also a skilled martial artist, easily able to take out multiple normals and able to hold his own 1v1 against more skilled opponents. His fighting style is combatives oriented, pressure points, weak spots, throat punches, eye gouges, joint breaks, and that sort of thing. No flash, all maim.
Agent X also has a bizarre ability to alter his skin tone, hair, and facial features to look like an average male member of any human phenotype. He cannot perfectly match individuals, but can come close enough to pass at a distance or with those who do not personally know the person. But, putting mimicry aside he can vary his appearance widely, looking like a different person almost at will, useful when it comes to blending in or escaping pursuit. Agent X cannot gain or lose mass but he can move the mass he does have around his body to some extent. He can make small changes nearly instantaneously, but even full makeovers only take about a minute or so. He can even manifest simple tattoos, scars, and some minor physical deviations or modifications like crooked teeth, piercings, a broken nose, and so on. Finally, Agent X has a subtle ability to subconsciously influence those he speaks with, producing a mildly hypnotic mental affect that makes listeners a bit more receptive and friendly towards him.
