CYBERNETIC TALENTS & PERKS
Cybernetics can be used to grant Talents and Perks to a character in various ways.
TALENTS
In addition to the Talents included in some of the CAC's listed under the Skills section, there is a very common feature that can be installed in just about anyone without undue difficulty called an Onboard Personal Assistant (OPA). Other Talents are only allowed with GM permission; as a general guideline combat oriented Talents should be part of a CAC.
The following is an example of a typical OPA:

ONBOARD PERSONAL ASSISTANT:
Absolute Time Sense (3 Active Points); Restrainable (by EMP's; -1/4)
Eidetic Memory (5 Active Points); Data / Facts Only (-1/2), Restrainable (by EMP's; -1/4)
Lightning Calculator (3 Active Points); Restrainable (by EMP's; -1/4)
Bump Of Direction (3 Active Points); Restrainable (by EMP's; -1/4)
Lightsleep (3 Active Points); Restrainable (by EMP's; -1/4)
Brainjack: Computer Link (5 Active Points); Restrainable (by EMP's; -1/4)
Personal CommLine: High Range Radio Perception (Radio Group), +2 to PER Roll, Concealed (-2 with High Range Radio Perception PER Rolls), Discriminatory (21 Active Points); Restrainable (by EMPs; -1/4), Personal CommLine Only (-2)
Total Real Cost: 21 points; ~1,449,000 credits

PERKS
Cybernetics can't grant Perks, with a single key exception; Brainjacks (described below). A very important device for many types of characters, Brainjacks are Cybernetic plugs directly into the brain that allow a person to jack directly into the NET and other technologies that piggyback on the connection standard. Brainjacks are by far the most common Cybernetic device in existance; almost all corporate employees above the janitorial staff have them, and a decent subsection of non-corporate people do as well.
To use a Brainjack a person just needs to be adjacent to a device that supports a Brainjack connection. For more information, reference The NET. Brainjacks are described (including write ups) in the NET GEAR section.
