Jimmy is a good looking Asian with some mild caucasian features, particularly his hair, disclosing his mixed ancestry. On the tall side and whipcord-lean, his youth masks his skill.
BACKGROUND
Son of a famous (within Hunter circles) FBI Hunter, Jeff Chen, and the fiery redheaded occultist Samantha McGillis, Jimmy is effectively a legacy Hunter. Raised around Hunters and various eclectic esoteric types, as well as his irascible "great grandfather", Lu Chen (an apparantly Immortal Martial Arts Master and actually the founder of the Chen line) who painstakingly trained Jimmy in what he terms "basic ability" in the family's Insidious Snake Style martial art, Jimmy has been immersed in Hunter culture since birth.

His mother Samantha disappeared seeking some hidden knowledge when Jimmy was in his teens, and his father Jeff was often traveling to work a case, so Jimmy was effectively raised by Grandpa Lu. Never one for school, prefering to spend his day with his Grandpa in the dojo rather than going to class, Jimmy opted not to go to college and thus couldn't follow in his father's footsteps as an FBI agent. Nonetheless he got involved in Hunting in his native San Francisco even as a teenager. Now just barely 20 he's arrived in the Campaign City chasing the trail of a devious dragon cult.
PERSONALITY
Hunting monsters is Jimmy's job, and he takes it seriously. Subconsiously he seeks his parents approval, but baring that he seeks self-approval, which he can only maintain by holding true to what he sees as his duty.

TACTICS AND COMBAT NOTES
Jimmy is an effective martial artist, quite competant vs. merely normal foes and able to brawl with many sorts of lesser Supernaturals on even footing. He still has a lot to learn, but according to his Grandfather Lu Chen, he "shows promise".

In addition to his martial arts, Jimmy also has some very useful equipment his father slipped him on the sly. He carries a Consecrated Bowen Super Redhawk that his father used for many years before they were phased out of Federal service, and he has a pair of SpecTech eyeglass lenses that allow Jimmy to see the Supernatural (though Grandpa Lu insists Jimmy doesn't need them, if he would just stop being so thick headed and "open his own eyes"). Jimmy also has a ballistic mesh vest that offers some protection to his torso, which he pulled out of the lining of a heavier full vest his father gave him; Jimmy found the full suit too confining. He's had other tools over the last couple of Hunts, but they've either gotten broken or lost.
CAMPAIGN USE
Jimmy is a front liner, who looks to engage foes in hand to hand combat, trusting his skill and reflexes to see him through.
