Weapons
Magical weapons with unusual abilities are a common staple
of fantasy fiction. In Pathfinder Fate Accelerated, magical items are just part
of a given character's concept rather than loot to be acquired such as is the case
in the source material. They generally take the form of a Stunt that grants access
to a secondary character write-up.
Bane Arrows: Because I possess a clutch of Bane Arrows, I am especially lethal against a specific kind of opponent when I use them.
Faintly Magical (Necromancy, Transmutation), Fell-looking
Benefit: +2 to attacking a target of the chosen type (+2), Range: four (4) zones
Uses: [1]
A Bane Arrow can only be destroyed by magic, but can be removed from use. Each shot expends a usage box, but each arrow can be recovered and thus restore a usage.
Magical Weapon (-2): Because I have a mildly magical weapon, I gain +1 when Combative to attack and defend while wielding it.
Magical Adamantine Dagger (-2): Because I have a mildly magical weapon made of adamantine, while wielding it I may use Roguish in place of Combatives and I gain +1 to attack.
Magical Dagger (-2): Because I have a mildly magical weapon, while wielding it I may use Roguish in place of Combatives and I gain +1 to attack.
Magical Longsword (-2): Because I have a magical weapon, I gain +1 when Combative to attack and defend while wielding it.
Returning Dagger: Because I have a magical Returning Dagger, I am able to annoy my foes with pinpricks.
Returns To Weilder When Thrown, Faintly Magical
Benefit: +1 to attack by throwing the Dagger at them, Range: three (3) zones
Bad At: Hacking (-1), Defending (-1)
Stress [1][2]
Mild (2)
Returning Daggers can be thrown as an attack, and will return to the thrower's hand afterwards. Annoying but useful.
Runic Weapon Of Striking: Because I have a Runic weapon bearing the Rune Of Striking, if I succeed with style when attacking with it I inflict +2 shifts of damage.
Unholy Bane Dagger: Because I have a magical dagger 'blessed' with unholy bane, I inflict an extra shift of damage when I use it to successfully attack devout followers of benign deities.
Named
Named weapons, usually unique, are the stuff of many legends.
Typically associated with one or more heroes, and perhaps a famous creator, these
special items are treasured not just for their magical might but also for their
historical legacy.
Searing Guisarme
Searing Guisarme: Because I have a magical guisarme, I am able to use its abilities to aid me in my adventures.
Magical Guisarme, Strong Magic (Evocation)
Good At: Sweeping Strikes (+2)
Bad At: Tight Spaces (-2)
Stress [1][2][3]
Mild (2)
Searing Blade: Because I have a magical glaive with fiery magical properties, if I succeed with style when attacking with it I inflict 1 additional shift of damage that cannot be reduced.
Silverfang
Silverfang (-2): Because I have a powerful magical sword named Silverfang, I am able to use its abilities to aid me in my adventures.
Mithral Sword, Undead Bane
Undead Bane: Beacause I have special power over the undead, my weilder gains +1 to attack undead opponents.
Halt Undead: Beacause I have special power over the undead, if I get a boost while attacking an undead opponent the boost is upgraded to the spell Aspect HALTED which is attached to the target with one (1) invoke. The target cannot move or attack until the Aspect is removed. It can be overcome by the target while Focused as a Superb (+5) difficulty.
Negative Energy Resistance: Beacause I am enchanted with protective magics, anyone currently holding me gains +2 to defend against attacks and create advantage attempts that rely upon negative energy or necromancy.
