Gnaeus Gnaru

Darkvision: Because I have Darkvision I can see perfectly in total darkness.

Shocking Blade: Because I am able to generate a magical paralyzing shock around my weapon, when I would roll 4dF to attack with my weapon I may instead roll 6dF and choose the four (4) best dice for my result. This is an electric attack and I cannot use this Stunt against opponents who are immune to electricity.

Champion Sword-magi (-2): Because I have trained as a Sword Magi and can fight using my magic and my blade in tandem, when I am being Combative I may add my Arcane capability to attack and defend with a sword.

Spellstrike of the Sword-magi: Because I have trained as a Sword Magi and can fight using my magic and my blade in tandem, if I attack an opponent in the same zone while being Quickly Combative and get a boost I may immediately invoke the boost to attack a second target in the same zone while being Quickly Arcane.

Cloak of Protection (-2): Because I have a Cloak of Protection that offers me some protection, while wearing it I gain +1 to defend against magic and if I take a consequence from a magical attack the attacker does not get a free invoke on it.

Silverfang (-2): Because I have a powerful magical sword named Silverfang, I am able to use its abilities to aid me in my adventures.

Undead Bane: Beacause I have special power over the undead, my weilder gains +1 to attack undead opponents.

Halt Undead: Beacause I have special power over the undead, if I get a boost while attacking an undead opponent the boost is upgraded to the spell Aspect HALTED which is attached to the target with one (1) invoke. The target cannot move or attack until the Aspect is removed. It can be overcome by the target while Focused as a Superb (+5) difficulty.

Negative Energy Resistance: Beacause I am enchanted with protective magics, anyone currently holding me gains +2 to defend against attacks and create advantage attempts that rely upon negative energy or necromancy.

Vulnerability To Sunlight (+1): Because I am vulnerable to bright light, I suffer -1 to all 4dF resolutions while exposed to sunlight or other intense light. If exposed to sunlight for more than an hour, my [1] stress box is considered to be checked at all times; I recover from this after being in darkness for at least an hour.

Magical Spell Trapped In A Stick, Faintly Magical (Divination)

Benefit: +1 to cast Detect Secret Doors.

Each usage box indicates a seperate use or application and each use expends a usage box; when there are none left the item is expended.

This item requires Arcane +1 or better to use.

I may overcome while Cleverly Arcane to notice hidden doors (and similar difficulties) in my zone.

Known Spells

Gnaeus is particularly fond of the following spells.

Arcane Spell (Illusion), Invisibility

Create advantage while Sneakily Arcane vs a Good (+3) difficulty to create a spell Aspect on myself called Invisible for one (1) scene or until all invocations are used. While the Aspect is in play, I cannot be seen by normal senses. I may invoke the Aspect to gain a bonus on an action where being invisible helps me succeed, such as attacking an unaware opponent. The spell Aspect can be temporarily neutralized by those with unusual senses or magic or special items creating an applicable advantage; the ability or item will generally specify how it works or what the difficulty is. The spell Aspect can also be overcome and thus removed by some abilities that explicitly counter invisibility or dispel magic in which case the difficulty is determined as normal per the simple magic guidelines.

Arcane Spell (Transmutation), Buff

Create advantage while Carefully Arcane vs an Average (+1) difficulty to create a spell Aspect on myself called Arcane Speed for one (1) scene or until all invocations are used. While this Aspect is active I am faster than I normally am. I may invoke this Aspect to go first in an exchange or to move an extra zone and still attack, or invoke it twice to do both at the same time (this is an exception to the general rule about invoking an Aspect twice for the same action, as it does two different things when invoked in this way).

Arcane Spell (Transmutation), Buff

Create advantage while Carefully Arcane vs an Average (+1) difficulty to create a spell Aspect on myself called Arcane Constitution for one (1) scene or until all invocations are used. While this Aspect is active I am more durable than I normally am. I may invoke this Aspect to absorb two (2) shifts of damage.

Arcane Spell (Evocation), Force

Create advantage while Carefully Arcane vs an Average (+1) difficulty to apply the spell Aspect Magic Shield to myself. While this Aspect is active I reduce damage from physical and magical attacks by one (1). This Aspect may also be invoked to offer protection when defending from physical or magical harm.
