You were at one point a fanatical follower of a religious cult. Perhaps you followed a demented foreteller of Armageddon, an Arch Devil, an Outsider or some other malevolent being. Maybe they used magic, exploited your weaknesses, addicted members to drugs or gradually drew you in. It doesn't matter now, you got free of their grip and are determined to take control of your own life and never again fall under the spell.
