Many Fantasy settings have gnomes or "halflings" or both. Usually gnomes
seem to be similar to dwarves while halflings are more like little humans, but whatever
the case they tend to dwell in caves or hill dwellings, have a fondness for the
comforts of life, and otherwise are generally more personable and less serious than
dwarves..
