The ranger is the only class that I'm not happy with in the 2024 PHB. I offer a buffed version of the Ranger base class that attempts to rehabilitate the class primarily by improving Hunter's Mark interactions.
I was unhappy with this subclass in 2014, and while the 2024 version is better it still doesn't quite match the fantasy for our group. Thus, I provide a variant / full replacement for the Hunter.
I personally enjoy the Inquisitor class from Pathfinder 1e, and miss such an option in D&D. There are of course ways to approximate the concept via Vengeance Paladin, Trickery Domain Clerics, and so forth. However, I offer the Explicator subclass for Rangers as another option.
