This flat pendant features stark white and black wolf heads in a yin-yang like pattern. A worshiper of Arawn that touches this weapon feels a great sense of peace, and can use it as a Holy Symbol or as a spellcasting focus.
Obfuscated. Despite being powerfully magical, the Detect Magic spell does not detect this item unless cast using a 2nd level or higher spell slot.
Call of the Wolf. While attuned, as a Magic Action the bearer of this item can summon a Wolf of Arawn in an unoccupied space within 60 feet. The Wolf of Arawn uses the characteristics of a Dire Wolf, but has additional Hit Points equal to double the bearer's character level, uses the bearer's Proficiency Bonus, and is immune to the Charmed and Frightened conditions.
A Wolf of Arawn gains the following additional abilities, depending upon when it is summoned. If summoned after Dawn but before Dusk the Wolf is white, and if summoned after Dusk but before Dawn the Wolf is black.
Wolf Color | Additional Abilities |
---|---|
|
A White Wolf of Arawn can make an Opportunity Attack as a Reaction against a creature that moves into its reach, is immune to Radiant damage, and its Bite deals additional Radiant damage equal to half the bearer's character level. |
|
A Black Wolf of Arawn can teleport up to 30 feet as a Bonus Action while in Dim Light or Darkness, is immune to Necrotic damage, and its Bite deals additional Necrotic damage equal to half the bearer's character level. |
The Wolf of Arawn is friendly to the bearer and acts on the bearer's Initiative immediately before or after the bearer. Only one Wolf of Arawn may be summoned at a time. The White Wolf of Arawn vanishes at Dusk, the Black Wolf of Arawn vanishes at Dawn, and both versions vanish if the bearer dies or loses attunement to the amulet. If a Wolf of Arawn is reduced to 0 Hit Points, the bearer must complete a Long Rest before they can summon one again.
