Robes of Ashes (Fabled)

These silken kimono-like robes look like delicate leisure wear unsuited to an active lifestyle, but they are magically durable and surprisingly protective.

Armored. These robes provides armor equivalent to Studded Leather Armor +1 (AC 13), but weigh 4 lbs and do not require Light Armor proficiency.

Attuned Abilities

Fashionable. When you attune to these robes they automatically resize and adjust to perfectly fit you. Additionally, while touching them you may take a Magic action and mentally visualize an alternate look, after which the robes cosmetically change to match. This item can look like any kind of robe-like garment, but can't change to look like anything else.

Fabled Ability

Smoky Step. Once per Long Rest when a creature you can see includes you in an area of effect, as a Reaction you may cast Misty Step without using a spell slot. If this results in you no longer being in the affected area you are not affected by the attack. When you cast Misty Step in this way, a puff of smoke and swirling ashes are left behind where you were and where you emerge.

Shielded. You can cast the warm shield version of the spell Fire Shield without a spell slot or spell components once per Long Rest.

Armored. The bearer gains an additional +1 AC (AC 14).

Improved Shielded. You can cast the warm shield version of the spell Fire Shield without a spell slot or spell components once per Short Rest.
