Clerics

Destruction Domain

Gods of the Destruction domain are entities of cataclysm, entropy, and ruin. They embody the natural cycle of unmaking—the violent storm that clears the dead wood, the earthquake that shatters stagnation, or the relentless ash that reduces all things to their base elements. Clerics of this domain do not necessarily revel in evil; rather, they understand that creation requires space, and to build the new, the old must be violently swept away.

Level 3: Destruction Domain Spells

Your connection to this divine domain ensures you always have certain spells ready.

When you reach a Cleric level specified in the Destruction Domain Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared. They are Cleric spells for you and do not count against your Prepared Spell limit.

Level 3: Ruinous Momentum

Your god favors those who press the attack when their enemies falter. When you score a Critical Hit with a weapon or spell attack, or when you reduce a creature to 0 Hit Points, you can cast a cantrip that normally takes a Magic action as a Bonus Action.

Level 3: Destructive Strike

You can channel the unmaking power of your deity to ensure a devastating blow. When you hit a creature with a weapon attack or a Cleric spell attack, you can expend one use of your Channel Divinity to deal maximum damage for that attack's damage dice, instead of rolling.

Level 6: Destructive Wrath

Your zeal empowers your attacks. Once per turn, when you deal damage with a weapon attack or a Cleric spell, you can reroll all of the damage dice but must accept the second result.

Level 6: Sow Destruction

Your god's destructive intent ripples outward, allowing you to turn a severe blow into an absolute catastrophe. When a creature you can see within 30 feet scores a Critical Hit with an attack, you can take a Reaction and expend one use of your Channel Divinity to maximize the damage dice of that attack, instead of rolling them. If a creature is reduced to 0 Hit Points by the triggering attack, you gain Heroic Inspiration.

Level 17: Entropic Unraveling

The raw unmaking force of your magic shatters defenses and can turn objects and creatures into dust.

Whenever you use your Destructive Strike or Sow Destruction Channel Divinity options, the triggering attack ignores any Resistances the target has to the attack's damage types.

Additionally, if the target is reduced to 0 Hit Points by the triggering attack, you can choose to cause the target and everything nonmagical it is wearing and carrying to be disintegrated into gray dust. If you do, the target can be revived only by a True Resurrection or a Wish spell.
