Torn Reality

The Abyssal Scion

All known variants of the Multiversal Glitch known as the Abyssal Scion are a son of the Demon Lord Graz'zt. Aside from very minor cosmetic differences, each known variant have physically been nearly identical. Many are indistinguishable from one another, but even the most variegated are as similar as close siblings or perhaps the same person at different ages and life conditions.

However, while alike in appearance, the variants vary broadly in outlook and personality. Almost all of them are on the lower side of the moral and ethical spectrum but run the gamut from vile to merely selfish or scheming. Some variants are even basically trustworthy, and a rare couple have seemed to be unironically righteous. He's a study in Nature vs. Nurture, to be sure.

A common element for all the known variants is their individual relationship with their multiverse's version of their father. Some are aligned with or serve Graz'zt, others hide from him, and some oppose him. It is known that several variants of this glitch that encountered each other have cooperated temporarily, but (perhaps inevitably) turn on one another.

Fabled Items

The many variants of the Multiversal Glitch known as the Abyssal Scion often bear some combination of the following signature magic items. For whatever reason, a larger collection of such items are associated with this glitch and there does not appear to be any specific item favored by all or most of the variants.

Player Favor

When the campaign draws to a close, each Glitch's "true" form must be chosen, eliminating all the other variants from having ever existed. Following are the player's relative scores (expressed as a Tier list) for the variants and special items of this Glitch. The scores are not a measure of power or quality, they instead measure the player's overall enjoyment on the one hand, and likelihood of selection for the endgame on the other.
