We were in the midst of a long-running 2014 campaign when the 2024 PHB was released, a complicated Planescape based variant of Turn of Fortune's Wheel.
Rather than make the leap and take the ponderous step of porting that campaign forward and risk discovering we did not care for the result, we instead started a new group at 3rd level and dove into the 5e version of Secrets of Saltmarsh, with me scrambling to adapt things as we went.
After a few sessions, the group was on board with the 2024 "glow up" and we collectively decided to tackle the daunting task of converting our previous campaign.
The current state of our ported 2014 campaign, or at least the player-facing material, is captured on the Torn Reality page. We play as often as we can, which works out to 2-3 times a month on average, with sessions that usually run 6 to 8 hours.
