Alyssa is Nancy Drew at age 30-something, raised by a tough but fair police detective who died on the job. As a young girl Alyssa played at being a sleuth and dreamed of following in her father's footsteps, but her mother forbade it. So instead she did the next best thing and became an investigative reporter. Unfortunately, print media was in its death throes and there was no great demand for her services when she graduated college. So, much to her chagrin Alyssa found herself scraping the bottom of the barrel and working freelance for the National Incredulist and similar rags.

Tyrone 'Big T' Jackson is a huge barrel of a man, thick and sturdy and possessed of prodigious strength of arm and character. An ex-con/enforcer who found his faith in prison and now works with street kids. These days Tyrone protects the poor and downtrodden, particularly orphans and street kids, from dark forces. He collects the bounties his efforts yield and uses the money for good works, charity, and maintaining his flock.

Briana is a fetching and apparently young lady with unusual grey eyes and some kind of indescribable something extra that has been the undoing of many a man. Briana usually wears clothing appropriate for a night of clubbing or a dinner party, with a touch of haute couture; though she favors classic lines and lots of black and almost always accessorizes with a dark colored shawl or sash of some sort and various items of jewelry. Her primary concern in life is enjoying the arts and experiencing the culture of whatever city she is currently frequenting, and she tries to avoid anything that interferes with her generally laissez-faire lifestyle.

Cordelia is a psychic empath, able to feel and differentiate the emotions of people around her, even if she cannot see them directly. This is a passive ability, always on, and it is sensitive enough to detect people her other senses cannot simply by feeling their emotional presense. Additionally, Cordelia is the inheritor of a mystical ring that imbues her with an ancient mantle of power which grants great affinity with the Astral plane and the ghosts trapped within it. Due to her unusual childhood, detachment from normal people, and more recent ghostly experiences she often seems otherworldly and not-quite-sane.

Cyrus is tall and large framed but wiry and his daemonic strength can be suprising as a result. Cyrus is a wild man...and not just in the sleep all day rock all night sort of way. There is something primeval about him that puts almost everyone on edge, and he is possessed (pardon the pun) with a driving irrepresible restlessness that wont permit him to 'chill out'. Cyrus sports a slightly retro and unkempt long-haired long sideburned almost-mullet, and a 'stache that would make a porn star proud. He emanates an anarchic devil-may-care edginess, and great energy. To Supernatural senses he is obviously and clearly dangerous.

Dorothy is a good looking and athletic woman who's petite frame belies her extremely impressive martial arts abilities. Determined, courageous, and analytical, Dorothy has the soul of a true hero, and when the opportunity to prove it arose in the midst of a zombie outbreak she was not found wanting. Now that she knows that supernatural threats and monster hunters exist, it is almost inevitable that she will become a hunter herself.

Drake is a Mysterian first taught the fundamentals of his craft by his grandfather and then by an elderly great aunt, but both died before finishing his training. Without a mentor and lacking a proper education, Drake has to bootstrap himself the rest of the way from Journeyman to Master on his own. In between bouts of furthering his learning, Drake offers his services as a Hunter for hire, joining hunts across the US for a share of bounty profits. As if that weren't dangerous enough, his existence is occasionally complicated by his family's complex lineage. It's a difficult life, but seldom a boring one.

Though a stalwart champion of the Church when the Spirit moves him, Ezra appears to be an upstanding but unremarkable man among any given crowd of middle aged professionals, save only for the long gym bag he sometimes carries...except on those rare occasions when he whips a wickedly sharp and very shiny evil-smiting sword of legend out of it. Though he manages to make even that seem normal and routine and entirely proper. An effective swordsman with a normal sword, Ezra is deadly versus even supernaturals when wielding the magical blade Colada.

Griz is a burly bald Dwarf with a short silvery steel goatee. He wears biker gear, particularly his signature sleeveless blue denim jacket that's almost as tough and crusty as he is. Griz generally looks impassive, unless there's the prospect of a good fight, in which case he looks eager to get started. His heyday was back in the late 50's through the early 70's, in the glory years of American 'motorcycle social clubs'. Griz has mellowed...A LOT...in the ensuing decades, but he's still mean as a snake and a very bad man to cross.

Horace is enormous, over seven feet tall, and wide of shoulder and girth. He's not big like a body builder, he's literally built like a barrel, massive and solid. He has a barely discernable neck, a head like a baked ham, and hands like catchers' mitts which ball up into fists that can easily punch through walls. He never smiles nor laughs, and only rarely shows any kind of emotional affect. He wears simple all black clothing and heavy boots, smells like copious amounts of Old Spice Original Scent that still doesn't quite manage to hide his musky stink, and when he speaks it is with a low reverberating voice that is as much felt as heard.

Jake is an 'old' 46. 20 years on the force and a couple years investigating dark doings and hunting monsters has not helped him stay youthful; he visibly carries the weight of his years. Jake isn't entirely sure what his motivation is, but he can't not get to the bottom of mystery once he's caught the scent of it. In particular, Jake has put together enough pieces of the puzzle that is the Cult of the Red Hand to make him suspect that there is far more at play...and at stake...than anyone else seems to think. When he's not working some more immediate case, gathering more clues on the Red Hand and their shadowy master is what occupies Jake's hours and minutes.

As a Division I football quarterback for the Virginia Cavaliers, Jalen is an athletic phenom and is almost certanly going to go pro one day. But Jalen's primary focus right now is not his football nor his academics, finding his father is what has his utmost attention. After his mother's death, his auntie decided to finally say who Jalen's father really is and now Jalen is determined to find him.

Josua is a lean, wiry, hard-bitten young man with an implacable poker face that gives nothing away, short hair, and piercing eyes. He dresses in 'urban' clothing carefully selected to not interfere with his ability to move. Unknown to himself or as yet anyone else, Joshua is a psychic with powerful subconscious vitruvian and savant gifts, able to boost his own performance with the power of his mind.

Karl is a large but aging man who looks to be somewhere between fifty and sixty, though he is actually much closer to ninety. He typically wears business attire with a blazer, but hates ties and wears his collar open. He does not look anything like what a typical person might expect a master of Alchemy to look like, or a Hunter of Monsters for that matter, but if there is one thing an Alchemist will tell you its that outward forms can be very deceiving. Karl is motivated to be an active Hunter by sheer boredom. But he's not stupid or reckless about it; he seeks his thrills as deliberately and methodically as he does everything else.

Lars is a reasonably handsome and urbane looking man in his early thirties. He dresses well and has a certain casual confidence, but with an air of being more of a thinker and talker than a do-er. Approachable and pleasant, he's the sort that random people feel comforatable starting a conversation with in public. But despite his genteel and seemly nature this is a man who has seen things and knows secrets that would twist the minds of lesser folk. Hardened Hunters and occult interlopers alike have made the mistake of underestimating him, often to their detriment.

Sabrina is a porcelain skinned raven haired woman who stands out in a crowd; there's just something compelling about her that draws the eye and something about her presense that makes it clear she is not to be trifled with. She has relatively long, often disheveled black hair, piercing steel grey eyes, and a tendency to look into one's soul. It can be a bit freaky to many, and strangely seductive to a few. To those with supernatural awareness she is even more remarkable, boiling over with a ever-shifting kaleidoscope of psychic potential.
