Full Time: Ing, Sybyl, Fracas, Dozer,
Furnace, Kamikaze |
|
Background / History |
|
This band of super-saboteurs and industrial
espionage specialists has been plaguing
big industry across North America and the
European Union for the last couple of years
and have a very successful track record.
They have had encounters with a number of
superhero teams as well as conventional
security forces, and though they have occasionally
been stymied, they have largely been successful
and remain at large.
|
|
Group Relations |
|
Not much is publicly known about the inner
workings of the group. However, Ing is the
undisputed leader and mastermind of the
group; the others do his bidding. Sybyl
is the most mysterious of the group, but
appears to act as an advisor to Ing, helping
him plan and coordinate missions.
|
|
Fracas is hired help; Ing pays him a flat
salary to be his muscle and keep the rest
of the group in line if necessary. He is
standoffish and surly, maintaining a "hired
gun" professionalism. Dozer is young and
sometimes difficult to control, but he's
smart enough to recognize he's on a gravy
train and not push the envelope too far.
|
|
Kamikaze and Furnace are relatively recent
additions to the group and are still in
the process of integrating with the groups
dynamic. However both have their own personality
quirks and Fracas might have to earn his
paycheck to keep them under control.

|
Tactics |
|
The ideal Violators job is unopposed, but
in case of combat Ing generally stays focused
on the mission plan and then contributes
to a fighting retreat once this goal is
completed...unless things go badly, in which
case he prioritizes appropriately. Fracas
is the group's main beater and typically
engages the most obvious brick or martial
artist of an opposing team, beating them
into submission and moving on to the next
one. Dozer is kept on a short leash as his
powers are massively destructive, but when
he's given a go ahead he typically just
starts wrecking stuff, blasting opponents
and wreaking collateral damage with little
restraint...though he has learned the hard
way to not "accidentally" catch one of his
allies in his blasts.
|
|
Furnace is intended to function similarly
to Dozer, inflicting collateral damage and
forcing opposing heroes to deal with a chaotic
environment. Kamikaze is intended to seek
out opponents that stay back from the main
engagment and knock them out of the area,
destabilizing opposing support capabilities.
|
|
It is not clear what exactly Sybyl does
on the rare occasions that she accompanies
the group in the field.
|
|
Campaign Use |
|
Theft / sabotage oriented group of villains
who operate by having a specific mission,
getting in and making it happen, and getting
out. Their ideal mission involves only as
much effort as necessary to accomplish the
goal, but when they meet resistance in the
form of security forces or supers they do
what they have to in order to secure the
situation.
|
|
The Violators are a dangerous group of saboteurs
and industrial spies. Ing plans and executes
very efficient raids to either cripple a
company in some way, steal crucial business
intelligence such as schematics, formula,
and equipment, or all the above at a given
facility. Fracas, Dozer, Furnace, and Kamikaze
are around to deal with sec forces and supers,
and on the missions that require massive
destruction.
|
|
Public Relations |
|
The Violators aren't splashy or theatrical.
They function more like an elite military
unit, executing very well planned raids
and actions, often at night and always from
surprise, and thus have not been much in
the public eye.
|
|
However their string of successes ensure
that they are treated as a real menace rather
than a subject for humor or mockery by the
media.
|
|
PRIMUS considers them to be a real threat,
but since they target private industry they
haven't committed the same level of resources
to the group as they would to more mainstream
villains.
|
- A PC recognizes that Kamikaze isn't really
of a criminal mind, and is basically just
a kid that's caught up with the wrong crowd.
Do they try to extract the hyperactive kid
and try to turn him to good?
- Dozer loses his temper on a job against
a facility that is near to a residential
area. He wipes out a good chunk of a townhouse
community, causing mass destruction, injuring
many people, and killing two. Now he's wanted
for murder, PRIMUS want's him apprehended,
and the PC's are kind of on the hook for
it since it happened on their watch / in
their city.
- The green supergroup Aegis has had a few
encounters with the Violators and are tired
of them getting away. The PC's have fought
the Violators and had success at it. They
are contacted by Aegis; they want to team
up and put an end to the Violators once
and for all.
