Personality: Be all the Wundvolding he can be.

Background: Stern, stubborn, stoic, and stalwart Maxviel is pretty much a Wundvolding posterboy. A member of three castes, Thegn (Warrior Elite), Waffschmied (weapon smith), and Zauberer (Magic User) he is a respected inhabitant of Caer Servac.

Maxviel learned all three of his crafts from his father Hrimgerd, and his family can trace a line of Runeforgers back to the days of yore two millenia past when the Wundvolding learned the craft from the Var.

As a point of pride Maxviel only carries Runic items that he himself has crafted, though his family has many such heirlooms here and there. Maxviel is a perfectionist and could not be satisfied with a piece unless he himself knows how to make it.
Campaign Use: The Wundvolding are an impressive lot, standing between 6 and 7 and weighing between 210 and 400 lbs. Most are burly and massive, with muscles made by chipping at rock or pounding upon metal. They typically have dark blond to brown hair with the occasional auburn or russet and primarily blue eyes. They favor runic tattoos, and in fact this is the clan that first learned Varic Rune magic from their Varic allies long ago and combined it with their method of inscribing mystical tattoos; the practice spread from them to the other clans that favor it. Many Wundvolding are smiths, and they include many jewelry and fine metal smiths among them in addition to numerous Waffschmeid.

The Clan makes most of the metal objects used by the Machtig, and they trade most of these through the Pargori. There are many Thralls amongst the Clan, but also the occasional Druid or Skald and a fair number of heavy mountain warriors. The Wundvolding Thegns though fewer in number are renowned among the Machtig for their battle skills, tending to be experts with an array of weapons rather than specializing with one, and are frequently unusually strong men with muscles and lungs honed by lugging heavy armor around in high mountains from childhood on. There is also a modest tradition of Zauberers among them, mostly Runeforgers of one sort or another.
