| A scion of Clan Marchog from the Varhold at Vrenak, son of a Arwyddlun (Runecrafter) of great repute named Argarod. | |
| Argarod tried to teach his son the ways of the Runes, but in his youth Arganat longed for the ways of the warrior and pursued dreams of one day being skilled enough to enter the Aes Arfod. | |
| With the desire to gain greater experience and battle savvy, Arganat chose to accompany a group of Machtig adventurers who had run afoul of the Kor and taken shelter in the Varhold at Vrenak for a winter, when they departed in the spring. | |
| Arganat stayed with the group for the journey from Vrenak to Kark, getting to participate in many small encounters and a big battle with a small horde of Kor. While at Kark, Arganat participated in some interesting side adventures with the band in whole or in part, but a slow period left him bored and he departed to travel to another Varhold that was relatively nearby. When he returned the band had departed Kark, but Arganat found work as a blade for hire for would be delvers and adventurers operating in the Kark area. | |
| Eventually the band returned to Kark, plus a few allies, and Arganat once again rejoined them in their grand quest, participating in some rough battles and hairy encounters in Kark, until finally the object of the Machtig's vendetta was resolved. Thereafter Arganat traveled with the band to the west when they pressed back over the mountains and headed to a place in the nation of Lanolyan called Barizan on the coast north of the capital. There were a few minor encounters with bandits along the way, but nothing to really keep Arganat interested. | |
| The group next decided to press on further south via riverboats, but Arganat flatly refused to be apart from dry land for so long, and stayed behind. Later he joined a high risked overland trade caravan that attempted to cross the Kor tribelands to reach the Daelanthanor-Shidaal trade route, and in this fashion Arganat eventually ended up working as a caravan guard on that greatest of trade routes. | |
| Eventually he happened to be in Zerlaaga and coincidentally bump into none other than some of his old Machtig traveling companions, and discovered that they were part of the ongoing build up to prepare against a Kor horde that was expected to attack the Vold soon. And thus Arganat became involved in the ensuing war, aiding the Arrows a third time. During the battles, Arganat became very attached to Saemund after the latter saved his life on a couple of occasions. After the Arrows retired from their sweeping quest Arganat accompanied the Saemund to his home in Caer Ungorhaus and went in to business with him working Saemund's family forge until Saemund's death many years later. Arganat finally took up study of the Runecasting discipline his father had tried to instruct him on so many years before. | |
