| Dwarves invented (or discovered if you prefer) gunpowder,
and made the first blackpowder weapons in the Old World. Small of stature, the Dwarves
naturally created a handheld version and the pistol was born. While many more traditional
Dwarves eschew blackpowder weapons in favor of more brutal implements such as the Axe,
many younger Dwarves train to use the new-fangled weaponry. Many of these youths travel
seeking to make a name for themselves in fine Dwarven tradition and some of these have
found thier way to Mordhiem where the opportunities for wealth and glory outwiegh the
risks of death and mutation. The Pistolier is a very dangerous skirmisher and provides a
starting warband with short range punch. They prefer to work for Humans as other Dwarves
are less impressed with thier skills and loathe to part with thier hiring fees. |
